"I hope you Dance"--Lee Ann Womack. It's such a powerful song about living life to the fullest and picking yourself up when you are down.

I sing it to my DC with tears running down my face.

Need you now by Lady Antebellum- a cheesy, parsons project "eye in the sky" ripoff but makes me weep for some reason.
Last Christmas by Wham- a hopeful/sad song played during the holidays when emotions run high
Never dreamed you leave in summer by Stevie Wonder- beautifully arranged and a tearjerker
Tears in heaven by Clapton- about a loss so painful how can you not tear up.

Me, too, because my mom requested that we play it at her funeral. Tears every time I hear it, most often at the grocery store - ugh.

My other big two are also personal funeral-related: "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey & Boyz to Men, "Carry On, Wayward Son" by Kansas.

100 Years, Five for Fighting.

Also, I agree with two mentioned earlier: the Miranda Lambert song about going back to her old house, and Darius Rucker's "It Won't Be Like This For Long."

Baby Mine.

It's also in "Beaches" and makes me cry for the same reason there.

Whole of the Moon by the Waterboys

One of my good friends died right after grad school, and the person who sang this at her funeral said it described their relationship. It is a perfect song.

Me too!

The meaning behind the song is just heartbreaking. His toddler son was playing near an open window in a high rise building and the window cleaner left it open, not knowing there was a young child inside. The child ended up falling down many stories to his death.

Eric Clapton wrote the song to heal himself, and it touched many of American's hearts in the process thus winning multiple Grammys.

"Mary, Did You Know?"

Never heard of it and then heard it for the first time when my son was a baby (he's in middle school now). Still makes me sob.
