Just from personal perspective though, I never bat an eye when a patron at a restaurant brings their children even if the kids act up. Wow, whether or not the other patrons will be bothered, it seems really cruel to bring a little child out to a restaurant that he or she is very unlikely to enjoy at an hour of night where he or she would likely be cranky, tired, and unhappy. We are doing a nice 6:30 pm dinner at a low-key, local restaurant with 3 year old DS, some of our friends, and their 4 year old. This seems like a solution that will make every member of our family reasonably happy.

Yeah, 3 year olds are known for their advanced reasoning and logic skills -- oh, mommy is making me stay up out late tonight? Better take that second nap so I'm not cranky.

If OP isn't a troll, she's a self-centered asshole. My kid is fully integrated into my life, too. He dines out regularly and is well behaved. But not at 10pm on a big party night.

Part of me want to call Bethesda Ruth's Chris and warn them that these horrible people might be coming. You just know that on top of everything else, they are probably going to be making tons of obnoxious special requests to keep their 3 year old satisfied, and at the end of the evening will leave a horrible tip.
