Why MCPS off for all Jewish holidays??

Anonymous
Montgomery County, MD is in no way the only school district which closes for Rosh Hashanah and Ym Kippur. I have sisters who live in Westchester County, NY and near St. Pete in Florida, and they both have those holidays off.

Columbus Day and Veterans Day ceased being school holidays the year that the Jews insisted that their holidays become school holidays. Its a fact.

Just thought you might want to consider that saying "Jews" can be considered derogatory. Unless you mean to be a bigot, say Jewish people.

While I agree that the tone of PP's post was derogatory and insulting, I have to say I've never heard that simply using the term "Jews" is insulting. And yes, I am a Jew. Also a Jewish person.

+1. What is derogatory about the word Jews. Isn't that what we are?
