Jewish holiday in MCPS

I am also from South Florida where the schools are closed on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and the courts are also closed bc so many of the judges and attorneys are Jewish. I was surprised when the MoCo courts were not closed.

I am unfamiliar with Muslim holidays but are there holidays during which muslims are prohibited from working or attending school, similar to the restrictions on jews on RH/YK?

Do you mean the Eids? I don't think Muslims stay home from work for all of Ramadan.

It varies. But it would not be a bad idea to defer a bit beginning of school year so that some of the Ramada month could be devoted according to Muslim religion.
