I have a 4 yo Simona, and I have never, ever seen her name on any of these lists / boards before. I'm in total shock that it finally came up! (We've also never met another Simona, or Simone for that matter.) |
I'm the PP that knows a 9 yo Simona, her parents are Eastern European so don't know if it's a name that is more common in their culture It's beautiful!

| Vivianne. Loved it! |
| Sick of Finn, Finnigan, and other shenanigan names. |
Thanks- of course we really love it, too! I have to admit, I heard it when I was a teenager watching the 1996 Olympics- there was a Romanian gymnast named Simona and I fell in love with the name. Interesting to hear that these parents are Eastern European, too. I've read that it's (somewhat) common in Italy, too.
To actually respond to the original title of this post, the last several babies I "met" (not in person- born to friends on FB in the last couple of weeks) were Zachary, Colton, and two(!) newborn girls named Hannah. Kind of surprised to hear that one twice, as I thought it was sort of on the decline again. Still, a pretty name. |
