How do you buy a single session pass? It only gives me the option to buy the all-session one
TIA |
| I liked it last when you could only swim the 50 of you had the 100 QT. I agree that I think they need to put some parameters around 200s as bonus events. I think it’s ok for kids who have cuts for the 1000/mile to bonus into the other an 500 free/400 IM, but the 200 free was pretty painful yesterday. |
You buy it onsite

| Thank you! |
| Why does anybody need bonus events if there is no travel involved and it is not a big meet |
It made sense before (a swimmer could do an event as a bonus instead of Jr champs to minimize the risk of timelines conflicting), but it needs to be phased out now. |
+1, especially since the cut times are so slow. Scanning the girls events, there are some cuts that are slower than the 15-16 A standard (100/200 breast, 100 back and 100/200 fly). The other events seem to be between the A and AA 15-16 standard. That seems to be a pretty low bar for a champs meet. |

The meet isn’t financially feasible with tougher cuts, is my guess. Nobody with Sectional or NCSA cut is gonna care about this meet. Most of the swimmers in my kid’s group are doing 2-3 events or skipping it altogether. So if you tighten up the cuts too much, you aren’t getting enough of the kids who really want to be there or who are hunting cuts.
Maybe the bonus events should go, but otherwise, this meet kinda is what it is going to be. I’m not sure there is a way to make this meaningful. And most other LSCs don’t exist in areas where the high school season is so meaningful. The private school kids grinded through weeks of championship meets and are prepping for bigger meets. The public school kids are coming off state champs. None of these kids care about this meet and they are mentally and physically trying to recharge. |
| If nobody gets up for the meet then why hold it? |
|
They need to rebrand the meet. Its name should be: PVS Last Chance Invite.
Market what it really is……. |
They should, but that won’t look as good or important on the PVS Instagram account. |
| Nothing against this meet because I assume other meets do this also, but why D E and F heats in finals? it is only 100 yrd & less events in this meet but why do D E and F heats? aren't A B and C enough? |
For this meet (and not uncommon for others as well) D/E/F are for 16 and under swimmers only. To encourage development. |
Thanks makes sense, so A B and C must be mostly 17+ yr olds |
It is also because two meets were combined. JR/Sr which would attract younger teens to one and older/faster to the other. If they didn't do it then very few young kids would have the finals experience. |
