Perhaps people should pay attention to weather info and warnings. If they choose not to do so, then so be it. We're free.to make stupid choices. |

Uh, avalanches have been a thing for thousands of years. You’re going to pull a muscle trying to stretch this far. |
A woman with commonsense and the intelligence to take a look at weather reports would not need to be told. |

Smart in some ways but risk-takers who thought they could defy Mother Nature. |
I actually disagree. I have listened to Alex Honnold, guy who free solos, talk about risk numerous times. From his perspective people think what he dose is insane just because it isn't more mainstream and a lot of people aren't doing it, but these people are somehow ok with things like ski racing or skiing in general which are also very risky because they are more mainstream. We all do things that are risky. People are killed every day driving, cycling (feel like cyclist have a huge chance of death) , skiing and doing 100 other things. Also in terms of Alex Honnold; he doesn't just wake up and free solo something. The amount of training and preparation he does leading up to these thing is incredible. Sure it doesn't remove all risk, but he is also far from careless. |
Pitiful excuses. These are parents who don't need to take risks doing extreme sports when they have young children. And, no, we all are NOT engaging in extremely risky behavior. |
