DP, but also used to be a big fan of OB and also never got blood on my finger. When you pull the old one out, it kind of cleans the lower area and when you push the new one in same thing, it's not like it's just oozing blood all over the place. Even if somehow, things were really heavy or some mishap happened and you got a tiny bit of blood on your finger just wipe it off with some toilet paper, don't touch anything and go wash your hands at the sink. |
Not the pp, but also thinking you may want to go to a doctor if your pads and/or tampons are creating a bad smell. Mine sit in my garbage for a week and there's no smell. When my daughter first started getting her period, sometimes her garbage started to smell, and so it had to be changed a bit more often. I don't think that it's common that you are having a smell. What's your health & diet like? Do you drink lots of water? |
Blood always has an odor. You might want to go get your nose checked. |
NP google what? My pads do not stink neither does my tampons. I change them often and empty my bathroom trash every 5 days or so there is no smell and my bathroom trash doesn't have a lid. No smell. Girl go get checked. |
+1 This is not normal. Maybe PP has BV or some other infection. |
Omg you guys, Google it |

Period blood is generally not completely odorless, but it is typically not unpleasant, often having a slight metallic, earthy, or faint smell. While the blood itself is mostly odorless inside the body, it can develop a faint scent as it mixes with bacteria, sweat, and vaginal discharge when it leaves the body, particularly when it interacts with air.
Common and Normal Period Odors: Metallic: Due to the high iron content in the blood, this is very common. Earthy/Musty: Similar to the smell of rust or dirt. Slightly Sweet: This can occur due to changes in vaginal pH levels throughout the cycle. |
You have to use your finger why choose to if you don't have to? The first one must have blood on it. |
| Why choose OB and your fingers: because it's better for the environment and the planet? |
They are more comfortable, and easier to fit in your pocket and carry around. |
Why do you think they make scented pads?? |
| Who needs Ozempic when you have this thread!? |
Get a menstrual disc and you'll want to talk about your period all day girl |
For the same reason they have bright color wrappers and patterns on the boxes. Hint: its not for smell. |
Oh my. No. |
