Does the DNC have any sort of plan at all?

Your vote does count!

It absolutely does not count. Even if the Democrat candidate wins, I lose. The party is rudderless. I find myself disagreeing more and more with the loudest voices in the party. Worse, they don’t even see how they hurt the Democratic Party brand even in the face of Trump.

2028 will be a rebuttal against MAGA not because of the Democrats’ platform. A dead cow shouls be able to beat Trump if nominated for the party.

History has show us it will take at least 50 years for the turbulence to end. I’m too old to be able to see that time.

My vote won’t stop the insanity. My party will beat Trump and MAGA but it won’t bring back sanity. My vote absolutely won’t count.

Voting is only step one. Yes it's harm reduction, but I'd say we need some harm reduction right now. So vote, whether you think it matters or not. But don't stop there. Stay on your representatives asses. Pay attention and make sure they know you're paying attention. Get active in your community. We do not need the federal government to do everything. Your local community has needs and helping at that level is going to have the biggest impact on your daily life. Pick an issue and get active. Do not simply complain and give up. That's exactly how everything got so bad.

I have been active in my community. Getting rid of Trump is a good thing ans stopping government criminals, but I don’t support the Dems either. It will will be HURRAH! No more MAGA/Trump, but BOO, were left with whatever the heck the Democratic Party has morphed into.

All the Dems ever want to do is take credit for things I’ve started and hold it up as an example for Democratic Party’s political purposes. What I do for my community is for the community not a party. I’m tired of party over real people. It’s like people do things because they want to earn merit badges. Maybe start doing the right things because they are right not because someone is going to notice.

Dems run blue states. Republicans run red.

Blue states pay for red states to exist.

Blue states educate.
Blue states give what the people voted for.

Dems believe in THE CONSTITUTION. GOP does not.

GOP stands for Guardians of pedos. Yes Dems have some too but they put them in jail. Repukes keep them in office and praise Trump like he's god while they let him steal you blind of all your monies.

Republicans in red states scam hard working Americans over and over again. Medicare fraud for one is a huge GOP thing to do.

More importantly GOP is going to stop women from Voting. As a female if you vote for one Republican you are voting to lose your right to vote. Not like they are not spewing this daily. Listen when they spew. The SAVE ACT will be installed this summer. If you are a married woman and took your DH name and live in a red state you ain't voting honey.... Then after Trump stays President in 2028 Women will lose every single right they ever had. This is not a drill. Your DD's are going to be breeders with no property, jobs, or money of their own.

You’re funny. If the Epstein files have shown us anything, it is that forces bigger than blue and red are pulling the strings here. Get rid of Trump and MAGA, great! Democrats may be a little better and should win in 2026 and 2028, but their victories will not be worthy of a big celebration. 🤷‍♀️

I think Kamala’s silence has a LOUD message.

Her silence means: "told ya and "y'all" didn't listen to me nor the others in 2024." So who the f cares now if she is silent or not. if half had tried to see past her gender and race...

I voted for Harris bc I’m a life long Dem. But she was not a good candidate. She had zero to say about anything and only speaks in platitudes. Nothing to do with her gender or race. In fact those are the only interesting things about her

Well said.

At least she wasn't named 3000+ times in the Epstein files with stories about her raping teenagers and so on. That alone makes her better than the horror show we have in the White House right now.

I agree she wasn't a good candidate. But she was infinitely better than the alternative.

I hope the Democrats have a plan. I hope they support a candidate we can all be proud of. Either way, they have my vote. Even if they nominate Hunter Biden, they have my vote. I will vote for ANYONE who runs against this corrupt, anti-American, racist administration (and the party that has done nothing to stop them!). This adnministration is ruining my children's future and you will never be forgiven,

Nobody writes (re)election campaign checks for unseen good deeds. This is why politicians love and need photo ops.

True. But I’m not doing it for checks. We need … and especially the children in the community … need politics free zones Life is hard enough.

You are a good person who thinks of others. This is why you would never survive in politics - even local politics.

Yes, but where are you going to find that? DEFINITELY not by voting for Republicans. That leopard's already shown its spots and is pretty much irredeemable.

Dems on the other hand do have many people who actually care about the working class. But their problem is that their coalition, messaging and platform is very fragmented which makes it overall incoherent. That's what the DNC needs to focus on. A platform and collection of pithy sound bites with broad appeal, rather than a loose random collection of fragmented thoughts.

See above posts about money in politics and compromised ethics needed to survive in politics.

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires.”

In other words, you voted against the best interests of yourself, and others, just because of the label "D". Had she won, you'd now be complaining about her ineptitude, policies, and lack of useful accomplishments.

My understanding is that there is much discussion about the Dems creating their own version of a Contract With America. This would give people a clear guide of what the Dems are running on. The downside is that it gives the GOP a clear guide of what to attack them on.

Despite that, I think it would be a good idea. I don’t recall any Dem candidate in 2024 actually talking about transgender issues, yet everyone seems to think they did. A concrete platform would give firm, clear talking points and not let the other side put words in their mouths.

Yes this 100%! Are there any Dem strategists out there?? Are you listening? Dems need solid messaging like Affordability and counter-messaging like upholding the constitution is not “radical” etc. Also, fight back on the MAGA propaganda. We should have been louder saying we DON’T want to take all your guns away, we DON’T perform sex changes in elementary schools, we DON’T want wide open borders, we DON’T want to teach our children that white people suck. but we DON’T want to erase history. We DO want human rights, and we DO want affordable healthcare, and we DO want illegal violent criminals deported, etc. Also point out the dementia and absolute narcissism of Trump with his talk of Greenland and Canada, his gold plated East wing and renaming the Kennedy Center like a godamn dictator. We need to be straight up about these things and stop being so professional. Fight fire with fire.

Getting rid of Trump and ending the MAGA era will obviously be a step in the right direction but what the low IQ, hyper-partisan fruitcakes who still identify as "Republican" or "Democrat" fail to understand is the fact that we will still have two corrupt and dysfunctional major political parties to clean up long after Trump is gone.

Never interrupt your enemy when it is making a mistake. MAGA is so busy shooting itself in the foot that the Democrats really could just let them commit suicide by the day.

That’s doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t have a plan in place with a platform, but there just doesn’t seem to be a lot of pressure to get it out there now.

The Dems having gotten rid of Biden and having no leader to eff things up while Trump destroys GOP chances in 2026 and 2028 is best case scenario.

Ha! I supported for Harris. You obviously vote blue blindly. I mean that sincerely, and that is a huge problem with the party and why when its candidates succeed in 2026 and 2028, the country will still lose.
