It’s somewhat higher than several other top 20 schools that admit a significant number of their students test optional An important difference is that Vanderbilt has D1 sports and the other others do not |
which top privates remain test optional? even stanford which has DI is test required |
what does that even mean? you want someone to get restrained online? did you major in reading at emory? leave emory alone. how about you stop hyping up a trash school |
| time for all schools to go test required. until vandy starts admitting undergrads (the nyc location is only a temp travel summer program for existing undergrads), these conclusions are meaningless |
You think 40 percent of the class are athletic recruits? Oh my. |
No, but the difference between the several top 20 schools that remained test optional for the entering class of 2025 (Columbia, Penn, Duke, Chicago, Cornell, Harvard, Yale, WashU ++) can be partially explained by the number of athletes in the incoming class. Which is higher in D1 schools with football teams. For the record, I wish that all the schools were test required. I don’t understand why only one test optional school gets all the hate though. |
The Ivies and Duke are also D1 schools with football teams. |

It’s weird that they’re launching them (or announcing the launches) all within a year or so, Vandy only became a bigger name on the natl scene a few years ago, this feels like some brand dilution. “We’re finally hot, let’s spread ourselves thin!”
Alum from the 90s who has spent many years with ppl not being very impressed by where I went to college. Now the adults aren’t impressed but at least the teens are. |
| As a current Vandy parent, I find this super disappointing. Expansion leads to dilution leads to drop in rankings. |
No its not its literally the lowest in the T25 except the UCs. Yall lie so much on here. 61% admitted but it drops to 51% for enrolled? Please be serious. |
Restraining orders include online communication and harassment. Guessing you dont know wjat doxxing is either. Really shows how low IQ you are. |
I wouldn't beileve that. It may start as that but eventually with the high costs of nyc and SF, tuition dollars will need to increase. Also just having students located in the city will not increase their chances at internships from the already competitive market up there. They will need to pay to play, further increasing the need for more tuition dollars. Its an obvious dominoes effect. |
