NEW—Chicago PD Superintendent DODGES question regarding whether his officers were told to stand down when ICE Agents requested backup.

"I had a conversation with the chief of patrol who was concerned about officers showing up...these federal agents can handle themselves."

WHAT?

I love how you’re on the side of masked ICE thugs and not law enforcement.

Crazy times!

When Chicago police refuse to come to the aid of law enforcement officers, you bet I’m on the side of ICE. There is no excuse.

Wrong. ICE tear gassed the local police; called in fake 911 calls to distract the police; and then told the police that they would arrest the local police. Are you crazy PP

Rerposting REALITY. That's an illegal order from the Chief of Police.

Nothing illegal about the Chief keeping his people safe from getting assaulted by ICE thugs.

ICE was not asaulting police.

Marimar Martinez, a protester (and armed with a semi-automatic weapon), drove her car into an ICE agent.

Shooting tear gas at them is definitely assault.

Shooting bullets at ICE facilities, vans and people is definitely assault.

Chicago police shot bullets at ICE facilities, vans and people? source?

I didn't say they did. Don't tell me assaults on ICE aren't taking place.

Then what's your point? ICE gassed local cops and are harassing them with fake 911 calls. The obvious response to that is for them to not show up when ICE calls because they don't want to get assaulted and waste their time.

Way to go, Chicago, more of this! Kristi Noem is upset that ICE agents in Chicago are being “denied entry” to restrooms and lunch spots.

Well they aren’t able to eat at restaurants where the owner may disagree with their behavior or presence. I guess it’s “assault” to not get your chipotle order

We know that ICE has lied about being assaulted, like when they claimed they were rammed by a woman who then pulled a gun on them, resulting in her being shot. Turned out the video showed ICE crashed into her, not the other way around, and that she never drew a weapon on them. ICE is being shown to routinely be lying, why should anyone believe them?

What are you talking about? There's the video. Stop lying.

Getting their feelings hurt because they are getting called out for what they are is also assault I guess.
