What happened at Congressional Country Club?

Gaslight, deflection, blame –… I think I’ve seen this film before.

Not OP but this is not a troll post by disgruntled employee. And the fact that you question its veracity tells me you are unfamiliar with the membership there.

I think you misunderstood or are quoting the wrong person. I’m saying someone on here is trying to act like the story isn’t true and I know absolutely it is. They are gaslighting by saying it’s a disgruntled employee.

An incident happened. People were kicked out. All the other details in these posts are false including how many involved

Why would this be worthy of a book?

Why would you have sources sign an NDA unless this is a catch and kill endeavor?

Well then care to enlighten us to the facts so we can stop speculating?

NP to this thread.

I also doubt this is some troll post or, alternatively, a disgruntled employee, because:

- think for a moment who is being implicated here? Country-club members, who are men. Obviously, these are extremely wealthy men. 1% men. Men who can afford country club membership. Men who like “exclusive clubs.” And DC is “the most powerful city in the world,” whether you like it or not. These are rich, powerful men.

What do we know about rich, powerful, men like this, and how they behave in private? Not much, because they tend to be very private, but consider:

- Harvey Weinstein
- Jeffry Epstein
- Bill Clinton
- Bernie Madoff
- Marion Barry
- Elliot Spitzer
- Anthony Weiner
- Bill Cosby
- Kennedies (Ted and JFK), etc.

All of these men were politically powerful men with access to money (even if they did not have large personal fortunes).

All were or are at a minimum, wildly inappropriate and unfaithful, and at worst, disgustingly exploitive of women and even children (especially Weiner and Epstein).

It is not a stretch to imagine many of the men who belong to Congressional Country Club behave exactly the same way toward women and girls. And the OP of this thread is describing what society has come to expect from men like this.

The behavior described by OP at Congressional appears entirely plausible to me.

Immediate PP. this exactly.

Why would you assume the members were men? That is an old view of elite country clubs.

Because they were caught with female sex workers. Because the male members who many people on this board know who they are, we quite literally caught with their pants down.

How many men were involved? Are they still allowed to go there?

A little slap on the wrist. They will be back on the golf course next summer. It’s disgusting how it’s all covered up. Boys clubs rules. They all cover for each other.

These men are all disgusting epitomes of toxic masculinity.
