The only info new to me in this arrivals is the January 2026 hearing. The state affirmed the decision prior to his July 23 appeal. He really wants his unpaid leave money. I can’t imagine it being that much given how often he was out of the school building.

Do you actually think he used leave when he was out of the building?

I would have thought he was legally due that leave money. He lost it because he was fired for cause?

A PP said he wouldn't have much leave to get a high payout based on how often he was out of the building. But he would have a lot of leave left for a nice check if he never submitted the leave paperwork for all the times he was not in the building.

Maybe rewrite that with correct grammar.

NP—does anyone know if Beidleman will or is receiving full retirement benefits from MCPS?

Adamson is a gifted educator. Kennedy was not the right fit for her. Does that make her a terrible human being?

It does not.

From what I've learned on this board, there is only one principal that is not a terrible human being. This person is a fit with any school. His name is Kevin Yates. If you don't have Kevin Yates in your school, buckle up. You will have him soon or eventually.

She's been demoted.

Unfortunately she still is still employed. Demoted is not a good enough punishment

She should’ve lost her job after what she did to Khalid Walker.

Khalid Walker lied on a report and didn't tell anyone until the press found out. He should have been fired too.

To what? What's her new position?

She's the coordinator of this program: https://ww2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/directory/directory_Boxoffice.aspx?processlevel=27110

"Coordinator" How much does that pay?

Again missing the point. She should not be in a leadership role whatsoever

Why do you keep trying to change the subject from Beidleman to Key?

Bc she's still employed by mcps and was involved with Beidelman

What does that have to do with him suing MCPS?

The post references all employees who should be punished not just her. And she is still out there in a leadership role so yeah , she’s up for discussion! Bigger question is why are you upset about it? If you know the entire situation regarding what he did and how all these high ranking staff members covered up for him, then you’d have no issue with her and her behavior being discussed

There are many others who covered up for him for years who aren't mentioned. Key wasn't even an MCPS employee until June 2023.

Key wasn't there when the bulk of his behavior occured, but she absolutely was here and responsible for the botched investigation and documentation once the allegations hit the news. April Key cannot get off scott-free here.

+1 It's not an either/or. Beidelman's behavior was SHOCKING, and he deserved to lose his job and never work with children again. But for those of you just tuning into this terrible story, Key was instrumental in the cover-up. She buried the report on Beidelman's abuse, retaliated against the investigator, participated in altering the records to deceive the public and the State of Maryland, and committed perjury.

I have no idea, none, how she still has a job with MCPS. If any of the rest of us were caught fraudulently altering reports during a public investigation, in any sector, I cannot imagine we'd still be employed.

She also let her friend, the former director of DCI, retire and collect full retirement without any punishment for changing the report, ignoring calls from the state Inspector General and a whole slew of other egregious incompetencies that occurred under her leadership.
