College with most polished students

Anonymous
Does OP want a place where students are taught about how to "act in exclusive spaces" or does OP want a place full of students that supposedly have been taught how to "act in exclusive spaces"?

It seems like a person could be taught these behaviors in a much more efficient and cost-effective manner than shipping them off to some collegiate finishing school for 4 years.

If the goal is to hang out with these exclusive space people, go to a college that admits a lot of people from exclusive spaces. Look for a really expensive University that doesn't offer a lot of aide to non-exclusive space students.

Oxbridge.

Everything you think of as cultured, well spoken, etc. is based primarily on british sensibilities and etiquette.

But if you insist on a school from the rebel colonies, then take a princeton and put a stick up their ass and you have more or less approximated an oxbridge.

+1, some of the worst people I know all come from Cambridge, but if that’s your racist, classist crowd, its awesome!

A slide rule, maybe.

Wait. You think finance is "cultured, well spoken, and overall intelligent"
I'm sure they are intelligent, but the rest would only happen by accident.

Times have changed. Engineering has expanded and nearly 30% of Princeton students now major in engineering. To say the least, the word “polished” no longer comes to mind.

...and the WASPs are still looking down on the pocket protector-wearing engineering crowd.

Hey guess what PP, the profession has changed.

SEC schools are too large.

In the south, it is difficult to achieve the classism you seek without a big helping of racism.

The citadel pumps out graduates that fall into this category but this is the epicenter of lost cause ideology. The south gonna rise again.
UVA used to (and the greek culture still does) generate these sort of grads but there is a racism problem in UVA greek system (and the mainstream greek system generally)

Not sure about Duke but one of the biggest brain dead snobs I've ever met went to Notre Dame. But she can look you in the eye and smile. So if that's what you're looking for then I guess it might be perfect. To be fair, I also know a great person that attended Notre Dame. Keep your wits about you if you go there and choose your company wisely.

What is wrong with you, OP?!

Oxford and Cambridge. At least according to the movies.

Oh brother. They're the poor kids who get free or reduced tuition.

Someone is not polished. You are about as rough around the edges as they come. Poor parenting ?

Southerners are polished, attractive and look you in the eye and are confident? What? Some of you people are living like it’s a different era. If you want to generalize and stereotype I can do that. Southerners are racists. The big flagship state universities that accept pretty much anybody are still segregated, especially the top sororities who think they rule. They dress in pink as if it’s still the 1980s and Lilly Pulitzer is still a thing.

Worst, southern colleges have more MAGA students that Northern colleges. That’s about as unpolished as you can be.

This whole polished thing is seriously unhinged. They are students mostly age 18 to 23.

Are you looking for a charm or finishing school or an academic institution?

Every college has different circles, join the circle of 'polished' people wherever you are. If you want college with a bigger polished circle, look at average household income and pick one with the highest numbers.
