Look... read the UVA thread. The idea that schools have a culture, a vibe, a general atmosphere is absolutely not a myth. UGA's prevailing culture is NOT intellectual. At all. Ask anyone who attends. However, there is a a small percentage (which is actually an enormous number of students) who are incredibly bright, ambitious, high achieving, and intellectual. You might have to join the right clubs to find your people but of course they are there. |
This is just flat out incorrect. Middle 50% of admitted UGA students took between 8-13 AP courses. |
That's not a big deal. I know a lot of kids doing that going to average and above average colleges. It's almost expected by the upper half of colleges these days. |
The only trolls are the one or two UGA posters on here responding that GT kids are "nerds" because they are very STEM smart. In a thread entitled "how intellectual is UGA" nonetheless and asking about the intellectual environment there btw. Can't make it up. |
You are a real miserable piece of shit. Do you know that? |
Nerd |
lol. OP you have your answer. Go Dawgs! |
You don’t have to be a nerd to be intellectual. Go Dawgs! |
Yee haw! |
OP, here is your answer. The anti-UGA trolls can’t fathom a place where you can find the compete package. Strong academics, in a fun, non-nerdy environment. The anti-UGA trolls have a narrow view of what it means to be intellectual, which isn’t very intellectual. |
