Wild. That is like comparing a Hundai to a Rolls Royce. |
At least she hasn’t wasted what talent she has on drugs. |
Beautiful job. Grace under pressure! Loved that people sang along. |
Right. Just booze. ![]() |
All you need to stay on key is that first note. It's not hard. I've done it lots of times and I'm not a professional. I'm not getting out my tiny violin for anyone who sings for a n@zi rapist. |
100%. Not to mention basically any working Broadway actor or actress who routinely sings a cappella, on cue, in auditions if they want to hear a different song. Or if something goes wrong with the orchestra. Etc. It really isn’t that deep for a professional singer to sing a cappella live. Plus, as someone else mentioned, this is not a hard or challenging song. Even someone with simply a decent voice like Selena Gomez or Nicole Kidman could carry something like that off. |
I'm that poster and did not compare Carrie to Whitney!! I just made sure to put Whitney in my post because I think she was the best female singer EVER!! |
Liking Whitney Houston means you can’t be racist! |
And your point? I voted for Harris, didn't watch the inauguration, and volunteered at my church for MLK missions. I did watch a clip of Carrie Ubderwood as I love her rendition of Amazing Grace. |

+100 Does no one remember when she fell over drunk and basically broke her face? |
That’s not a challenging song for someone who has been singing professionally for decades. |

FAFO https://www.newsweek.com/entertainment/celebrity-news/carrie-underwood-music-streams-after-inauguration-2020620 According to data analytics company Luminate, per Billboard, Underwood's catalog racked up 1.46 million on-demand streams in the U.S. on Monday, the day of the inauguration. That number is nearly 6 percent lower than the Monday before (January 13). Things looked brighter for Underwood in terms of digital sales, however, gaining "a couple hundred extra daily downloads" on Monday, Billboard noted of Luminate's report — though she still received less than 1,000 downloads that day. Underwood appeared to fare the same as fellow inauguration performer Nelly, who helmed a set at the Liberty Inaugural Ball. Like Underwood, the "Country Grammar" rapper's streams also dipped around 5 percent on Inauguration Day, compared to Monday, January 13. Similarly, he garnered a few hundred more digital downloads on Monday, January 20. |
