College comparisons

But institutionally it matches up well with NYU. The urban campus and cosmopolitan feel of NYU and so many international students aligns more with BU, NEU and not having sports more so, but still USC is like a west coast NYU with sports.

I’ve been to both and they are nothing alike.

You compared two Catholic privates in different regions to two sets of public flagship and land grant universities in the same state.

Sewanee : Rhodes is the most apt comparison involving these four.

Sewanee also feels like a southern Trinity in many ways.

Furman isn't really like any of the other three.

It had been relatively nonconfrontational, which is unusual.

Don’t even bother looking, they are not meaningful. US News gets a 40 percent response rate to their reputations survey.

40% is good. Where can I find them?

Nevermind, found them. You have to buy a subscription.
Emory-4 2
WashU-4.1
Tufts- 3.8
Tulane- 3.7

DCUM is still trying to make Tufts happen.

The reputation score of US News is probably the biggest joke in their methodology. Most schools don't even participate in it so it's based on incomplete data. Just dumb.
