So these students will never, ever have to mingle with regular public school students. How would they ever know what it means to be an average, everyday person????

Some of that is due to the admissions process. Private colleges and universities tend to understand rigorous, tough grading, fewer AP’s etc. the larger public colleges have more “cuts” based on gpa. Number of AP’s etc. Many Big 3 students fare better with admissions to private schools than to the large state schools.

You’re wrong about this. They’d make the pages private if they didn’t want anyone looking. They want them to be seen.

+1. At our big 3 students have a hard time getting in to the large publics. The LAC’s love them though. They don’t have 15 AP’s and weighted gpa’s.

You must hate that the BCC and Whitman kids go overwhelmingly to select PRIVATE schools then. Take a look at their instagram pages.

Perhaps that has something to do with it. However, most of the students and parents I’ve spoken with at my children’s Big 3 school strongly prefer private colleges. I only hear public colleges spoken of occasionally—and it’s rarely mentioned as a first choice.

HW family here. I don't think I've ever seen one of these for HW but have for other LA privates (DC has a lot of friends + their siblings at other schools).

Nope. Not for the public school families. Our kids go to large schools. These can't be private or they would be too much to manage. But, they were not intended for creeping/stalker types. Leave these kids alone.
