The PTA and MCCPTA are literally written into MCPS policies as being the official voice and conduit for parent feedback and notifications. If you don't like it, take it up with MCPS.

But by virtue of telling PTSA leadership, I believe MCPS feels they fulfilled their part of notifying "the parent community."

Ick who are you?!? The PTA is not in charge of official notices about principal changes and it is certainly not their job to send out school wide notifications ahead of administration.

I did not say "the PTA is in charge of official notices." I said, they are the official voice and conduit for parent feedback and the parent community. So when MCPS leadership run through their checklist of things to do, which include notifying the parent community, that usually means engaging PTA leadership, who is usually given direct answers that principals and leaders can't say, but PTA leaders can. The PTA is used to disseminate information to the community, whether you like it or not.

Now that doesn't mean you have to agree with that, but that is how things are done and it's why the PTAs are given many special privileges and access throughout MCPS. If I'm breaking news to you then you probably haven't gotten deep enough in your knowledge of how MCPS and PTAs work.

It said they will identify an "acting principal" - it didn't say that Garrick would come back.

Northwood letter says they will work with Dr. Garrick to find an acting assistant principal (not principal). I think it is implied Garrick is back at Northwood although they should have been clearer on that.

Maybe Dr. Fine who was supposed to be visiting principal at Northwood will now move over to Einstein.

Dr. Bostic is too good for Wootton. They don’t deserve him. What a horrible thing to do to put him in such a hostile racist environment not to mention he’s already a beloved member of the Gladiator community. This is a massive loss for Northwood.

Not the PP but I haven’t seen them anywhere except the desk incident and a substitute teacher saying it, which has nothing to do with Wootton or the students.

Why can’t people just list them instead of replying like this.
