What's the best age to be an empty nester?

Anonymous
Younger the better, knowing your kids are independent and can survive if anything happens to you and being able to have some fun between being parents and becoming elderly with health issues.

I think late 50s or 60s. Empty nesting seems quite lonely and I think you want to wait for that transiting after you've kind of tired yourself out and are ready for some relief and an empty/quiet house. 40s you still have too much energy

Find your golden time. My golden time is from 55 -75

In your 20s, 30s - you have time & health - but no money
In your 30s to 55 - you have health & money - but no time
From 55 - 75 - you have health, money and time
After mid-70s onwards - you have money and time - but no health.

I'll be 46 (next year!). Honestly I am ready. I have no idea how people deal with younger kids and aging and perimenopause. I am going to have to really focus on myself to get through it well because I see what happens if you don't prioritize yourself as you get older. It requires so much time and effort, and I know some are multitaskers, but I am not.
