Absolutely nothing... |
Is this because it is now landmarked? No one wants to touch it? |
It is impressive that DDOT planted such that the DDOT-installed crosswalk leads (partially) directly into plants. |
No one wants to invest in a property across the street from a vape shop. |
the fact that place still sells weed and flavored tobacco shows this city isn't serious about enforcement |
LOL.. okay grandpa, go back to bed. |
+1. A marijuana dispensary is going in at Van Ness. Literally, between UDC academic buildings. You can’t make this stuff up. Looking at you Mr. Frumin. |
Nothing wrong with a legal dispensary. The one in CP isn't legal, sells unregulated stuff, and sells vapes probably too close to WIS (1/4 mile). |
Nothing wrong with a drug dispensary on a college campus whose mission is to pull disadvantaged kids out of poverty? Do you even hear yourself? |
Why is UDC even at Van Ness? Most of its students live mikes away in SE. Think of the dense development potential of this transit-rich site. |
Then Mayor Tony Williams tried to do exactly that. But a lot of folks called him a racist so he backed off. But, hopefully, we all can agree that having a marijuana dispensary on the UDC campus raises a lot of concern. It’s an absurd outcome resulting from a poorly written law from an unserious City Council. |
| Looks like the Macklin property was sold for $5.1 million. No new deed has been filed, so the new owner is not public yet. |
| It looks like all three buildings of the Macklin project were sold to different developers at the tax sale. Still some liens to be paid off before construction can restart. What a disaster! |
The “developer” is an amateur who inherited some money and then proceeded to lose it on a development business that he didn’t really understand. How familiar sounding. How very Trumpy. |
So this developer is also worth $4 billion? |
