If you had a negative experience traveling to Disney, can you share why?

They can also do it again and again, they aren't just limited to one a day. This is why they are so angry they know what a sweet deal they had but Disney nipped it in the bud for many.

Who is the 'they' you are referring to? You do know that many people who use DAS are not riding the most popular rides, multiple times a day, right? For many DAS users, it makes it possible for them to access ANY park experiences, which they otherwise would not have been able to. And, hi ableist!

Are you unfamiliar with the "DAS Defenders" group? You don't need to try to convince people here that there was never an issue. This is already settled and there are new rules going forward, like it or not.

You are clueless, and an ableist, just like you were in the other Disney thread. Guess what-people with special needs are still going to be next to you in line at Disney, like it or not.

I didn't take my kids to Disney until they requested to go at ages 12 and 15. It was awesome, much more fun than if I had to deal with little kids!

Well, a lot fewer of them that's for sure. But stay in denial about it.

My friends and I grew up going to EuroDisney, because we lived in Paris and could take the train and be first in line on weekends (discount year round weekend pass for locals). We were guaranteed a few hours of repeat rides on cold winter days outside of school vacations.

Without that set up, no, an expensive theme park with long lines in the heat is my idea of HELL.

If they are still going to be there then there was never an accessibility issue was there? You can't have it both ways.

I’m just not interested in competing against SAHMs who have time to learn all the hacks and systems. I’m busy, so it sounds like way too much work.

Yay! Now you can enjoy Disney with less of 'those people' around. They shouldn't be out in public anyways!

I'm not the one making the decisions. Either the people will be approved for DAS like they always have been, or they can shell out $20 for Genie+ like everyone else because they haven't been able to prove that they need it rather than just want it.

Idk about your kids, OP, everyone is different. But maybe they were just too young to fully enjoy it when you went? We’ve only been once but it was this winter (2024) and my kids are tweens. We had a wonderful time. Totally exceeded my expectations. We went toward the end of January which was perfect: nice weather, not too crowded (still crowded but was “low crowds” on the Disney calendar). Before we went I was very intimidated about all the planning but actually didn’t find it that difficult and we got to ride everything they wanted. We had planned for it to be a one time thing bc we didn’t expect to like it so much. We’re not really Disney people. But now we all want to go back!
