OMG I love this dress
https://evereve.com/dwight-tank-dress-58733-c#color=4&size=24

Thank so much pp- now I can’t imagine my life without it

Whoa I love that too

Love the look, but skeptical if I would want to wear that on a hot humid day

Agreed. Looks too bulky fir the swamp we live in.

Guys, the PP is clearly making fun of this dress.

PP here - I love this dress. It’s my style - I’m a bit of a giraffe and most of my dresses are column shaped. And I have the perfect flat black sandals. But my life is so low key casual Midwest college town I’m afraid I would never get to wear it. Thanks for the fun thread!

I am the other PP who loves it and I am the opposite of a giraffe - short and muscular - and I could totally see wearing it. Except I work from home and don't get that dressed up very often! (I wouldn't wear it on a regular day.)

Anyway, yeah, if I had an extra $200 burning a hole in my pocket I would def get that dress.

Saw this morning that Gap has a whole bunch of cute looking all-cotton dresses online now. Again, were I to have $ burning a hole in my pocket, I'd be buying a bunch of em.

I burn really easily and am always looking for summery dresses that cover my back and legs (and sometimes even my arms, though putting sunscreen on my arms is not that burdensome) so these options run that way, but both places have other options that are more strappy or shorter if those are your preferences.

I just bought the first nordstrom dress listed here. It looks really good on.

Sigh, it is very tough with a chest to pull off any of these summer dresses. I look terrible with anything with a belt because it makes me look so top-heavy.

I wish they would make the chest and the butt the same size at minimum. My chest is two inches bigger than my butt, which means if I get my chest in, the bottom is 4-5 inches too big.
I have resorted to wearing t-shirts and skirt, and few Ann Taylor rayon button down dresses.

I don't do green but like this for super hot days

Lovely, but give me some short sleeves. I don't care that it is summer.

It’s similar to the Anthropologie somerset but 1/3 of the price!

Oh that’s pretty!

For June Cleaver.

I can't believe how ugly and dowdy these dresses are. It's horrifying. I opened this thread hoping to find some nice dresses.

Offer your suggestions then! But honestly I love that these types of dresses are in style. A fitted waist and a fuller skirt is comfortable and flattering on most women.

Actually, I think this would be cute for casual Midwest college town life. I'm imagining it more in the fall with a jean jacket over it, going to a little coffee shop in the cute college town shopping strip. I can't imagine anyplace I would wear it with my DC lawyer-mom life...

When I looked at that one, this one popped up in my feed, and now I'm considering it for my Hawaii trip .... will I never wear it other than once out to dinner in Hawaii? What do you all think?

It’s a very very thin sweater layer (don’t know what else to call it) so would be hot on worst days but totally fine for days you’re not out a ton, not the hottest days, and very easy to transition for fall or spring

It also has a loose fit I like - I’m fairly small but have a little belly and lumpy thighs and it hits just right to not be a tent but also not accentuate those
