I have a view from the inside looking out. We can then do a scorecard of where I am wrong after all the chips fall on the table in the next 2 weeks

1. NVU and Valor would never be offered an ECNL spot
2. NVA was offered full slate for MLS Next but will not be joining, Revolution was considered for MLS Next youngers

Are you claiming this for just boys side? Boys and girls?

Union and Brave are not necessarily underperforming on girls side, both are terrible on boys side. Both due to lack of talent and coaching. Kevin James being allowed to coach teams is actually comical.

1. My comment there was forward looking and speculative. I did not say that was a fact.

2. If true I will concede but I understood younger for both. Minor technicality. Only important if NVU took it as it would put in play another ECNL badge in NOVA most likely.

3. Both in terms of merger. But by strength Union girls dominates and both boys sides struggle. Was unsure what point you were asking on.

4. Agree on KJ but sadly he already has a position of power in current Brave ECNL.

The fact that this post mentions “NVU” - a completely irrelevant club - tells you where this post is coming from.

Learn something new every day...15 years associated with NOVA club soccer on both the boys and girls side and I've never once heard of NVU, now i know they actually exist

NVU is too small on its own and it has no girls teams. If Loudoun leaves for MLS Next I could see a Valor/GFR/NVU partnership continuing NVA.

Can’t happen without an ECNL charter. Which none of them have and Loudoun holds. It wouldn’t just be transferred.

We know someone on that team, she's been happy with it and plans to stay (because they have heard zero info that would confirm this silly thread).

Welcome to the area and disregard 95% of what you read in this forum.

There is no such thing as a charter. ECNL decides whom they want in whom they want out. They hold all the cards.

It depends on what you want. You should take your DD to all of the 2011 ECNL ID sessions in a reasonable geography to your home. Is Arlington or Union on the list?

Terrible on the boys side? 07s are in 5th overall on the conference and the 06/05s are 9th. Doesn’t sound like they are terrible!

GFR was in ECNL-RL before their short-lived “alliance” with Loudoun and Valor.

This, and rumor has it GFR will partner with Union for a pipeline to their ECNL program. Not sure how this alleged ECNL merge between Union-BRAVE will affect that move, but we have one foot out the door so good luck NOVA travel soccer teams!

I wish there was a way to ignore certain peoples comments. I don't need to know who they are just to blocj all the comments by one person. If this was available I bet the amount of crazy would go down by 50%. Many of the true nut balls are commenting and commenting again agreeing with themselves to try and make it seem like certain perspectives are normal when they're not.

Last time it happened this forum lost almost all activity. At least this makes the lunch time entertaining. There is some truth to many of the rumors put out in last month and some have come to fruition.

Of all the comments on this thread, you think that the nutty comment is someone saying that they are happy with a team and planning to stay? I guess that is not normal for this forum, but pretty normal irl.

Agree. Over the years, this site has had solid news before it is released many times. It has also had as much if not more fake news, but I'll take the mix of fake and real info over the crickets we heard when they made everyone have usernames.

I just received an email from the club. It's confirmed, there will be no merger. But school closures galore tomorrow due to weather.

It's a great learning lesson to take information and apply some critical thinking.

People have become way to accustomed to taking everything they read with absolute certainty.
