Again with the diabetics!!!!! Why do they deserve to be healthy and we don't????? Also, instead of faulting the people, how about find out what's keeping the supply so artificially low. Maybe go preach to the company to ramp up the production. Or, you know what, JUST STFU at this point. I'm tired of you. |
It may actually even out in the end. Because of the grocery bill. So although expensive, you’re saving money by buying less in groceries. This makes it more accessible to lower income people.
Here is a very interesting article regarding this fact: “Walmart says Ozempic craze slims demand in grocery aisles.” https://nypost.com/2023/10/05/walmart-says-ozempic-craze-slims-demand-in-grocery-aisles/ |
This is soon to be a moot point; the shortage for GLP-1 Receptor Agonists is decreasing, and pharmaceutical companies are starting to fill up stock. In the longer run, the more demand there is for these medications, the more formulations there will be available, and the more of the medication will be available on a regular supply. If it is sold at a high rate, shortages will be even less of a risk, because its manufacture will be prioritized. |
Semaglutide makes Baby Jesus cry. Those guilty of the sins of sloth and gluttony are escaping God's righteous punishment of weight gain. They are no better than those Jezebels who use birth control pills to escape the just consequences of their sinful behavior. |
This will be an underrated response unfortunately. Well done! |
My sister is on it. She is very wealthy, so the monthly OOP is nbd.
She still doesn't eat healthy food and doesn't work out. She eats absolute processed crap, just much less of it and she has lost ~ 50lbs, which is great for her confidence. But I think she'll just be skinny-fat now. I don't know how great that is for overall health? |
Of course being skinny-fat is better for your health than being obese. Better for joints, heart, avoiding diabetes, and so on. |
Keep telling yourself that |
No, fit fat is better than skinny fat |
In increasing order of desirability: Fat-fat < Skinny-fat < Fit-fat < Fit-fit.
Going from fat-fat to skinny fat is an improvement. |
Np, but I don't handle nausea well, so it's a no-go for me, even at 270 lbs. |
DP here but same. I hate, hate, hate the feeling of nausea and vomiting. It took me decades to not avoid Thanksgiving food after getting food poisoning once. I threw up once while hung over when I was younger and didn’t drink again for about a year. I just have a huge aversion to feeling nauseous. I also don’t think I could inject myself with a shot. I’m only 10- 20 lbs overweight. |
There are many posters here who believe exactly this. |
Seriously. I’ve never seen so many furious white women in DCUM threads. They are unhinged with rage that people are getting thin by taking a shot. |
If there is such a shortage why is Novo-Nordisk paying to run commercials for Ozempic on TV and continuing to advertise in print and online? If there is such a shortage why are they offering Wegovy when they could be funneling all that semiglutide towards Ozempec? Every overweight person is at a very high risk of becoming type 2 diabetic. It's prevention for everyone who is overweight to take ozempic. |
