I have sung four songs from the Messiah and heard the entire oratorio. I love the whole thing, but the piece that gives me the goosebumps is the Hallelujah Chorus. There is something so uplifting about that piece that makes it a standout and this one definitely belongs here.

One of my favorite more recent renditions is the Christmas Flash Mob in a food court of a mall. This was one of the versions that definitely game me the goosebumps feeling.

Well that just made me cry! Thank you, PP. There is nothing like the Messiah.

I agree with Hallelujah and I Will Always Love You. I will add Don’t Cry by Guns n Roses and for the season, Enya’s version of Silent Night, Oiche Chiuin.

O Holy Night

You should listen to Harry Chapin's song "Mr. Tanner" O Holy Night is a background to that, but Mr. Tanner has made O Holy Night so much more poignant for me because of the story. It makes O Holy Night so much more emotional for me (and the goosebump feeling) knowing the story of Mr. Tanner as well as for the beauty of O Holy Night.

Is this the guy who used to be a truck driver before he came out and became an international opera star? I heard him sing O Holy Night at the Kennedy Center (DC was in the chorus behind him) and it was absolutely amazing.
