What's the biggest coincidence that's ever happened to you?

My mom died years ago when I was in my early 30s. I always found it deeply upsetting that she would never meet her grandkids.

Let’s say (to keep thing anonymous), she was born on 1/31 and died on 5/22.

DC1 was born on 3/11. DC2 on 2/25.

It gives me some comfort that they are connected to her.

I’m originally from Columbus Georgia- a place that has military but highly unlikely to have foreign service officers. It was a career choice I was interested in but had no one to talk to about it. I decided to transfer my junior year to Emory University and needed some paperwork signed off. As I was closing out my last week, one of my professors asked what was causing the move- I told him my career interest and I wanted to be in a more cosmopolitan area . turned out he was a retired FSO whose last post was Bosnia Herzegovina. I didn’t know what his life was before teaching the class other than he was retired. We stayed in touch and he put me in touch with a diplomat in residence in Atlanta who then linked me to the foreign service exam study group. I failed the exam twice but still land at the State Department working in policy.

Future DH and childhood best friend made good on a promise to leave upstate NY post HS graduation and drive to the CA coast. DH bought a used VW camper van in NY that was about just falling apart.

Made it to CA. The friends soon after took a side trip up the coast to meet up with another friend. Van broke down in this tiny CA town so DH had to have it towed to nearest dealership.

The van got towed back to the dealership from where it was originally purchased new over a decade ago.

NP here, but I read this to mean the dates have the same numbers.

And to that poster: I can relate!
My mother’s death and some newly important dates are close in unique ways, also. It does feel like a connection.
Like… of all the dates in the calendar - to then be 2 days apart, etc.

In my twenties, my ex boyfriend was leading me on about getting back together and it turned out he was dating my random coworkers (we had no mutual friends) friend at the same time. I found out through seeing him in her pictures from a party. I debated telling my coworker and letting it get back to the girl, but I didn’t. I just cut off all contact with my ex.
