That’s the Bethesda I know. “Slaves will save me $37 bucks!”

Your are silly, like there is any difference between the $40 and the $3 dollar slides... both made in China or some other similar country by the same types of people...

We somehow got lucky and missed when they mandated this... they were not part of the main uniform purchase (at least for us). I didn't even know there was an order put in until they were handing them out... so no overpriced slides for us

No one and I mean no one is going to kick you off the team for not having all the right stuff. Yes, you have to buy game shirts and shorts if they change, but they likely dont change. The practice shirts will change.

It's not, but go ahead being uninformed.

Also missed this being mandated. Doesn’t seem reasonable

Total waste of money—both Maryland United and the clothing.

We have NEVER (3 kdis on ECNL) bought the backpack. And I would never every buy slides. The coach does not care and would never do anything about it.

I'm pretty sure that's extorsion.

We have never bought the extra crap. My kid shows up dressed ready to play and carries her alternate kit in a bandana tied to a stick in case she needs to change.

$300 bucks for a full kit? Are we in the 1950s??? I had to pay $450 for my kid's full kit from Potomac. I actually texted the coach asking for clemency, but he said it was out of his hands. I still cry a little thinking about it.

My kid is on another new team. One more year of HS after this. If he stays with the same club, I am not buying anything new next year.

Another thing is the orders take 2 months to arrive and the season is pretty much over and then ...guess what it's time to order a new version for the following year.

Can you explain how to do this please? I want to buy my kids’ club gear in two chunks

Where is the fun in that? Kids like to wear a full kit. Sure, kids don’t NEED it but why not? They don’t need to do lots of stuff - elaborate halloween costumes, room decorations, fashionable clothes, Taylor Swift concerts. But it’s fun so we do it.

My kids don’t do it for fun, they take the kit seriously as was taught by their coach bc of how to reflects on the team. Yeah, I know someone’s going to chime in how amazing their kid is and he wears whatever she/he wants. But the reality is that the best players are serious about every little thing abt soccer including the kits.

This is so Potomac!
Meanwhile there are kids in South America and Africa who play soccer with a trash bag and are twice as talented and serious as your kid will ever be.

Your cosplaying kid is not "the best players".
