Imagine being a state ranked as low as Mississippi in education and thinking what the kids wore to graduation was the problem. Imagine how many books they could buy or teachers they could pay with the damages when this girl inevitably wins a lawsuit.

I have to tell you an adult saying to my high school student to take off their pants and walk in her underwear is getting reported to law enforcement and sued under whatever statute exists for protecting minors for sexual harassment.

Here’s the local TV newscast with interviews with students and parents. Also news that the principal did not attend the graduation “due to family obligations.” Expect the Principal to leave or be fired for allowing the student to dress as a girl all year and for making it known that the strict dress code enforcement was imposed by the Superintendent.

I don't care what a student wears under the graduation gown. I don't even care if they wear the gown.

But it's high school graduation ceremony and no way I would have sued. In a lifetime, it's honestly just not that important or memorable. They missed nothing by not being there. They graduated. They have a high school diploma. That's all the matters in the long run.

The kid was wearing appropriate clothes, and then an adult in a position of authority told them to *take off their appropriate clothes and walk publicly in their undergarments* that’s…pretty much the definition of sexual abuse.
