Yes, most people who I know live in MoCo but work elsewhere. Namely DC, NoVa or other parts of Maryland like Howard County or Baltimore County and City. |
A MoCo report came out that showed most residents work in MoCo, however, that could be skewed towards lower paid jobs, and/or now WFH/hybrid means people don't have to commute into Dc/VA. Even so, even with "no job growth" here, these expensive homes seem to be selling well, and like I said, there are so many of these new build popping up here. |
I think your hypothesis for that data being the way it is spot on: Lots of low-income jobs in MoCo + WFH/Hybrid reducing commuting pressure into DC/VA. That's certainly been the case for me. |
About what? Your disgust for poor people that you are projecting onto me? |
This is it folks. This is Right-wingers wet dream. No wonder they hate MoCo and keep screaming "the skies are falling ". But sorry, it ain't gonna happen. |
That's in your imaginary world and DCUM, but in the real world close to 70% of MoCo residents, work in MoCo. |
There's a legion of turfers making these posts here daily. |
