OMG. Constant patrolling of the boards. It’s like the Swiss Guard in heels. Give it a rest.

Brian Cashman, Neil Gorsuch—there you go. Fixed That

The whole world sat up and listened to the most famous alum for most of this morning.

The whole world watched 9/11 unfold and the first news early on in the pandemic. The whole world did not sit up and watch the “most famous alum” to come out of prep this morning. Get yourself a life.

NP - any of them who are smart and aware did. But probably not for the common house frau

What are you even talking about? What hearing or whatever even happened today? I was taking a deposition all day and am not aware of some huge deal happening wut?

Seems to me that the STA classes are so small there wouldn’t be room for “tons of Catholics”.

The handful of Catholics at STA would be dwarfed by the number of boys at Prep, Gonzaga and St. John’s.

There are certainly more Catholic boys at Prep, etc. since those are Catholic schools (DUH), but there are many at STA, too - five boys already into BC and two to Notre Dame, and all (save maybe one) are Catholic. There are at least a dozen seniors who are Catholic.

What is GC

Good Counsel. Also declined a few non religious independent schools

The first time I heard of Prep (a Big 3 parent) was the hearings, and the second a LatAm privileged family.

Honestly. Go coed and easy on you know stuff

The first time you ever heard of Prep was the hearings? You sound very well-informed.

Oh please Prep is not known outside of MOCO.

It’s really true. If you’re not Catholic or from Chevy Chase. It’s not. Had no clue it had boarding

It’s known not just nationally but internationally and dates back to the 1700s.. but we get it you don’t like it..

I have no issue with the school but it’s not known as much as you think. Philips Exeter, Hotchkiss, Groton are known internationally.

That’s 12. Not a very big number when compared to 125 seniors at Prep, 250 at Gonzaga, another couple of hundred at St. John’s.

For STA, I guess 12 is a lot of Catholics. But it’s a very small fraction of the total number of Catholics at private schools in DC/MD. (.2%?)

I’m guessing the Catholic families that send their sons to STA aren’t really part of the larger, somewhat insular Catholic community. The great majority of whom consider only the Catholic schools as a place to send their kids.

Sounds like those Catholics boys at STA who are going to BC and ND decided it wasn't as much fun hanging out with the Protestants as their parent's thought it would be.

Us too. The GC Honors AP/IB is just a better program. Declined Gonzaga, Prep, and SJC.

I don’t know why this cracks me up. Like quantifying what’s “a lot of Catholics”

Who cares about high schools internationally? People must have too much time on their hands.

Where you are determines how many there are in "a lot of Catholics.

Apparently at St Albans, 12 is "a lot of Catholics".

While at Prep, it'd be about 10% of the Catholics in the senior class. Or at Gonzaga about 5% of the Senior class.
