St. Patrick’s. Three graduates. Friends who went to NPS and loved it there. Good luck between two great choices. Do we know if OP ever decided?
And plus a million on Mr. Brophy. Hero in my house to this day. He is a saint! |
NPS has a large conservative parent base, and they definitely pander to that group because that aligns with the political affiliations of key administrators. However, there is also a liberal base. I would say about 80% of the staff also falls into that category, which has an impact on the curriculum (positive, in my opinion).
You just might also run into a church bully type on occasion. The staff also seems to be getting less diverse of late. These facts could all be related! |
80% of the staff falls into the conservative base or liberal? |
So NPS didn’t drink the kool aid and go full on fake woke? What about the other two? |
They still have a DEI person so not sure they are as conservative as above poster claims. |
Haven’t they always been “less diverse”? |
They are. The church keeps them in line. |
How do they do this? Is it re LGBTQ issues? There is a first grade non-binary assistant who goes by the Mx. prefix, which is interesting. |
The staff has been getting more diverse. |
St. Pat's, NPS and Beauvoir are great fits for kids who are not cut out for sports. |
Huh? Beauvoir only goes to 3rd grade! |
St. Patrick’s. Great music/theater, wonderful art program and yes, my non-athletic kids loved and still love Mr. Brophy. OP you really can’t go wrong with either school if you’re looking for a small and hands on K-8 or K-6. We choose St. Pat’s and my three graduates loved school from nursery till 8th grade. A happy place.

Does St. Patrick’s have weekly Chapel? How religious is it? |
Several neighbors have or are currently attending both schools and hands down without a doubt the NPS families are much much friendlier, more inclusive, and seem less interested in how others can help them with their social mobility. |
