metro fare evasion is absolutely ridiculous

Oh, I agree with that. Always retreat if that's a viable option and live to fight another day. But if a group of teens decides to swarm you, you either put up a fight or possibly die from the kicking/punching.

A person shouldn’t. But self defense can be complex both legally and tactically, making it prudent to avoid the situation when it is possible to do do.

I wouldn’t get on Metro if they paid me.

It’s interesting to me that people who look like they can afford to pay have no shame in stealing. I would be so ashamed with myself to not pay.

I wish there was a way to publicly post pictures of fare dodgers to shame them, but l suspect it would be call racist.
