Agree. About your first point. (But also your second!) |

Lisa Marie was with Elvis when he died and watched him convulse in his own bathroom, vomit all over himself and code while her grandfather and the paramedics tried to save him.
She was 9 years old. I don't know how you ever recover from seeing something like that. It is such a sad story. |
| The whole marriage to Michael Jackson could not have been easy, especially given subsequent revelations. |

Elvis’s great grandparents were first cousins. It has long been supposed that a genetic defect is to blame for the early deaths of his mother and three uncles from heart attacks as well as his death from the same. With Lisa’s early demise from cardiac arrest I would suggest it is a lock on the theory of a genetic component. Millions of people who live poor lifestyles still achieve greater longevity- Keith Richards, anyone?
I have always felt a connection to Lisa Marie, we are close in age and like her I endured a childhood with an addict father and headcase mother. Lisa’s early childhood trauma from seeing their toxic relationship and then her father's untimely and awful death set her up for a lifetime of struggle with intimacy. It’s incredibly sad that she also endured the suicide of her eldest child and only son who must have felt like a special connection to her father. The last couple of years she was clearly living in an anguish of grief and that will definitely stress and damage heart muscle. Fingers crossed for her daughters but between the genetics and the volatility of enduring multiple marriages etc. they are likely to struggle as well. At least Lisa is now at peace. |
What were the subsequent revelations? I mean, I know the stuff that came out about Michael. But do you mean something in particular as it relates to Lisa Marie? |
Oops that’s Elvis’s grandparents, Lisa’s great grandparents. |
Did she talk about this? Where did you get all the graphic details? I thought I read she was one of the people in the house who found him (after he apparently was already dead) |
Sure he is young and fit, but if this had happened to Damar in his home or out on a run, he probably wouldn't have made it either. |
She also married Nicholas Cage for 4months. Sounds always troubled. All of those fathers could not have been easy on her children. |
I mean marrying a man who later was accused of pedophilia. Of creating an amusement park to attract vulnerable young boys. Come on! |
And when she met Cage, he was married and she was engaged--to other people. |
| In my husband’s family, both grandfathers died in their early fifties from sudden heart attacks. Two days ago, his 60+ brother almost died from a widowmaker. There were no symptoms leading up to the attack. You can bet DH will be going in for a scan even if we have to pay OOP. Heredity matters. |

There's a theory that there is a genetic condition at work. "
According to Hoedel’s book, the deaths were the result of Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, a genetic condition passed through generations.“It is known from Elvis’ autopsy that he was ‘a carrier’ for this disorder,” the Michigan-based author wrote, stressing that it “can have debilitating outcomes, even as a carrier.” Such “genetic complications” then “impacted [Elvis’] entire life,” Hoedel wrote — saying it “led to poor health, impacted brain function, compromised bodily functions and damaged organs.” https://nypost.com/2023/01/13/is-lisa-marie-presleys-death-latest-in-genetic-curse-from-first-cousins-marrying/ |
such a sweet picture. |
