np Why do you internet stranger need to know such personal information? It is none of our business. |
Does it matter who found her? The point is that she probably had been in arrest for some time before she was found. |
| It strikes me as very odd that a death caused by drug-induced cardiac arrest would involve a temporary pacemaker. Those are for arrhythmia, not for outright cardiac arrest. |
Nobody knows whether drugs were involved. The drugs she’d done in the past may have damaged her heart, plus bad genes. |

A very sweet video compiled by Lisa Marie. She and her dad are singing. |
| I didn’t know that Lisa Marie has a half-brother from her mother’s second marriage. I always thought she was Priscilla’s only child. So sad for the whole family. |
I'd forgotten about him, too. |
Np. I think it's important to use real world examples of how awful drug addiction can be -- I would bet it was all prescribed too. Women in their 30s-50s need to see that their "functioning" addictions to pills and alcohol will kill them young. |
+1 This happened to my mom at 56. Died of cardiac arrest while sleeping... all were prescribed. |
I didn’t know she married again! |
She didn't remarry but had a partner (Marco Garibaldi) for a long time. |
I mean, yes, she did, but she seemed VERY altered and out of it at the Golden Globes (on video staggering and grabbing for an arm, speech odd, and the speech she gave at Graceland for Elvis’s birthday made her seem *very* mentally/emotionally unstable. But either way, no one deserves to die at 54. RIP. |
This was the case for a family friend who died in his 40s. Had been clean for years but died of heat stroke because his body was so badly damaged from decades of prior drug use. |
| Coroner has deferred cause of death determination. We can presume he's waiting for toxicology report. |
That reminds me, sadly of Andy Gibb. He was drinking heavily but there was no cocaine in his system at the time of death, but his heart was heavily damaged in part from his heavy past drug use. (He also was in an England hospital where they had no access to his records so they were unaware of his cardiac issues). |
