This. I swore I couldn’t lose weight and actually had to stop running/intense cardio so that I could eat less. When I do as much cardio as I was, I was always hungry but i was absolutely eating more calories tban I was burning |
This! Much easier to workout a little and focus on eating less but high nutrition than putting in workouts that increase hunger and make a sore body. |
Is whole grain cereal with milk okay? |
You're better off consuming actual whole grains like wheat berries and oatmeal. |
OP, you might benefit from alternate day fasting. Eat more (at least your tdee) on eating days, and fast (or semi fast) a few days a week. I personally think eating in a shorter window is better to rein in insulin issues but also that long term caloric restriction every day is worse for your metabolism than alternating days of full eating and restriction.
You might also benefit from doing a dexa fit scan or other metabolism tester. Mine showed me burning a good 200 calories under what was expected for someone with my age and body composition. Third, make sure you are getting lots of fiber and probiotics. The bacteria we have (or lack) in the gut regulates so much--hunger hormones and whether or not we extract a lot of calories from the foods we eat and even signalling hormones/metabolism to store or not store calories (this is where the law of thermodynamics has its limitations--yes its calories in and calories out, but how much we absorb and burn is unique and dependent on so many different variables). You can also always try the weightloss drugs. |
