Yet another Stacy! |
| I have a friend at Bells Mill and they are miserable with their principal including that she’s not even from this area and seems not to understand MoCo and her schools community in general. I trust her judgment on many things so I’d take note of this. |
| It's interesting and encouraging to see so many positive responses. It seems like common threads are good communication, visibility, addressing issues consistently, and knowing the students and families. |
She is incompetent and almost brought the school to the ground this past year. If it wasn’t for the counselor and the vice principal, we would be in deeper trouble. |
| Definitely not Travilah elementary. Teachers are miserable and leaving in droves, staff is unhappy and the actual principal secretly went on leave back in the spring. She didn’t even tell anyone or announce it! No email to the community or anything! MCPS sent out an email announcing her leave and she never sent one word to her community. We have an amazing assistant principal and amazing teachers but it’s been tough. The principal is supposedly coming back but we we walk worried about the unhappiness and upheaval!!! |
| Don’t know the specifics of her situation but it’s possible MCPS pressured her to take leave and she wasn’t allowed to communicate with the community. I have no idea, just saying it’s not always on the principal. |
+1. Truly excellent. |
| I really liked our ES but it was in spite of the principal not because of them, but I never really felt like that was a problem. |
+2 for OTES. We didn't know the previous one but are very happy with Principal Royall for the same reasons PP lists. My child likes her too. |
Someone with a grudge dug deep to find this discussion!
|
Excuse me, is this your school? |
| Takoma Park Elementary! |
Another vote for Mr. Cline! He is wonderful. |
Oops, meant to say, Mr. Cline at Oak View. |
