Ah, the no true Scotsman argument. |
Trump is a Democrat? Who knew. |
Oh, you precious child. Trump was not the governor of Virginia. Should we review the difference between the federal government and state governments. |

I thought over the summer that Youngkin said to supporters on the campaign trail that he'd start going on the offense when he got into office but that he needed to focus on not alienating independent voters with anti-abortion rhetoric in the meantime.
I haven't found any polling but Youngkin may have done internal polling. In any case, this is still a conservative leaning state and it's possible that the majority residents outside of Northern Virginia and urban areas might actually support shortening the number of weeks before a pregnancy can no longer be terminated. Virginia voters, if you don't like the roll back of abortion protections, then please show up at the polls on November 7, 2023 to make sure you do your part to keep the Democratic majority in the state senate. And, state courts will continue to disapprove of extremely gerrymandered districts. That's because it's looking very likely that the 6-3 majority on the U.S. Supreme Court will not be disturbing any state laws that undermine Roe. Unfortunately, the legal reasoning in Roe is one that many of the sitting justices would love to tear apart because it is looking like stare decisis is not going to matter despite what 69% of Americans believe (that Roe should not be overturned). And even if we were to play the GOP game about polls (discount the opinions held by people living in populous blue states), I think that it would still be an opinion held by the majority even if you took out the opinions of Californians and New Yorkers. |
Recall time! |
+1 Before the GOP swung FAR right (and batsh1t crazy) with the Tea Party/Palin/Trump/MAGA/Youngkin, I considered myself a moderate and almost voted for Romney/McCain. |
No, PP said how she felt and her feelings were why she inflicted consequences. That is spite. |
As I am the poster quoted, I was not spiteful. Spite, by definition, triggered by malice. My vote was considered, judicious and deserving towards my goal. Now my goal may be spiteful to you but that is your issue. I am a he, btw and that may help you box me in your stereotype. |
If your vote was a “consequence” for “feeling wronged”, as you stated, that is spite. No matter how you want to spin it. |
That's a relief! |
+100 Say it louder for the twits in the back. |
Oh, the deep, deep irony. DP |
DP. You must have (deliberately?) missed this: https://www.forbes.com/sites/alisondurkee/2022/01/17/republicans-overtook-democrats-in-2021-as-share-of-americans-identifying-with-gop-shot-up-poll-finds/?sh=387a14181b5f |
Yes, businesses flocked to Virginia because racist Northam and his legislature got rid of the death penalty, and continued to let felons vote
