| Once a plumber used my bathroom without asking. Left literal shit smeared all down one side of the toilet and didn't even have the decency to turn on the exhaust fan. This was right at the beginning of Covid when no one knew what was going on. My kids came downstairs after he left and were wretching at the smell. I took pics and sent them to the customer service email, never heard back. I had to clean that man's crap up myself. I still get all heated about it, two years later. |
And this is why they cannot use my bathroom |
Why don’t you react the same way to comments from people who allowed furniture delivery people to use bathroom and it being no big deal at all? Lots of non-family members have used my bathroom and not one has smeared shit on the wall. |

There was an essay that went viral a while back that made me consider this topic: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/cable-tech-dick-cheney-sex-dungeon_n_5c0ea571e4b06484c9fd4c21
My sister worked at a job where she needed to be in people's homes and had very limited time to get from one place to the next. One of her biggest stressors was finding bathrooms between job sites. It's not particularly easy for females to pee or change their tampon in a work truck--especially out in the burbs. |

I allow service workers of all types to use my bathroom.
I do wish they would be careful to leave the bathroom as they found it- a few bad apples ruin it for everyone. I’ve had more than one leave sh!t streaks in the bowl (yes the brush is right next to the toilet), sh!t splattered under the seat from apparent diarrhea, nasty odor and don’t bother to courtesy flush or run a fan etc. It is absolutely disgusting, and there are plenty of public restrooms within 5min of my house. Why stink up mine?! Basically if it is for a pee, sure of course no problem. If you are going to take a big smelly dump please go somewhere else. Yuck. |
All the PPs who pretend this never happens - see!!! |
| Treat people like humans for Christ Sake. Offer cup of coffee on cold day, tip if appropriate, let them use bathroom if they ask, offer bottled water on hot day. |
