Is that you dear? My girlfriend wears me out so how about you just get me the usual dark socks?

This is a great idea- but I just went on their website and you can't use it via roku/amazon/apple tv. Have you done this before? How are you redeeming it?

NP. There is a roku app. That's how we watch it in our house.

You can also get it through Amazon prime video

He asked for ties and some lovely person on this website recommended ones I think will be perfect! Also a hoodie.

DH is pretty particular about everything except things like ties and hoodies so I don't buy him things he has strong opinions about. So I basically don't buy him anything. Mostly he asked for ties because the kids have to get their dad something.

Hugs! Not the perfect solution because he will still pester you until his T finally peters out.

But you get an A+ for trying!

Hope he buys you your dream gift this holiday.

He's going to buy her a journal so that he doesn't have to listen to her complain about her day.

Holy cow - I must be married to a strange other species because my DH would laugh at virtually all of this stuff. I’m glad we don’t give gifts!

The responses here have included a wide range of stuff…what’s something your husband wouldn’t “laugh at” if he received it as a gift?

I should have said he wouldn’t appreciate them rather than “laugh at.” I was not trying to mock anyone. He has many things listed by PPs and doesn’t really use them (solo stove is a perfect example). I have no idea what I would give him as a gift that he would like. Probably a stash of edibles.

It really does take all kinds. I’m glad my DH is a thoughtful and generous gift-giver and is happy with pretty much anything we give him, and I would be really bummed (and probably concerned) if all he wanted was edibles. It amazes me when spouses say they don’t ever exchange gifts and I don’t understand it - why not celebrate big occasions or accomplishments with something thoughtful? It sounds joyless not to, and certainly doesn’t make the abstainers more enlightened or morally superior (which seems to be the message trying to be sent).

Most women here do not really care for their DH nor do they want to spend the emotional labor on them. The DH is a man after all. I bet they spend more time picking gifts out for the dog vs DH.

Well, OP does not make it sound like a perfect marriage, but at least she’s trying to find ways around an extremely common problem

The problem comes up every week on this site. And it’s not even all women! Apparently there are men out there who lose all their interest in doing it.

Poo-Pouri (seriously)and a small box of See's chocolates

We don’t exchange gifts as we have everything we need and if we want something we just buy it. We focus on our kids and grandkids.

Some dark chocolate- heard on the radio it reduces stress.
