Uh, that’s the point. It’s only used by virtue signaling imbeciles. |
Not often. If you are anti undocumented immigrants, how are you okay with this unless your real agenda is to exploit immigrants, not keep then out? https://www.shrm.org/resourcesandtools/hr-topics/talent-acquisition/pages/do-employers-face-consequences-hiring-unauthorized-workers.aspx |
I'll say it again:

"Latinx is dumb and woke" says the ignorant person who refers to hispanic women as 'Latinos.' |
You mean like my 1st generation Ph.D. Latino colleague? |
It's only snowflake right wingers who are offended by it. Along with their fake "War on Christmas" whining. |
The kerfluffle is that the right wing is upset about people paying attention to non-whites when they shouldn't be. |
Do any elected democrats use this term? I’ve heard it used by lefty activists, but I’ve never heard Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, etc. say it. I don’t think I’ve even heard AOC say it. |
Biden and AOC have both used Latinx. According to this article about 1/4 of US lawmakers have used the term Latinx.
Most of them are Democrats. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/more-democratic-lawmakers-are-using-term-latinx-n1237884 |
"Hispanic members of Congress were the most likely ones to use the term Latinx, with nearly 70 percent of Latino Democrats and 13 percent of Latino Republicans using it on social media." This is an interesting counterpoint to the prevailing wisdom here that it's an invention of white progressives. I'm curious who the Latino Republicans using it are. |
AOC has definitely used it. And Julian Castro. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/more-democratic-lawmakers-are-using-term-latinx-n1237884 |
And there aren't even remotely as many hispanic Republican lawmakers as there are Democratic lawmakers |
Do you mean biracial Hispanics or lightskinned Hispanics? |
I'm a biracial Latina (half-Mexican, half-white, blonde hair, green eyes, pale skin, looks very white despite being raised by a single Mexican mother) and I don't consider myself BIPOC because I simply am not a person of color. I do consider myself a minority though. |
