Academically GW ranked 63 VT - 75 Both in top 100 Universities What are their soccer rankings? |
Perhaps your Google matching can tell you. I do know that soccer rankings don’t go on job resumes |
Title IX paired with most of boys scholarships going to international players. There are even BIG 10 schools like Purdue who do not have a men's soccer team. |
I reminded myself. Nothing changed, FCV dad. |
STRONG ALUMNI too. |
Ok VDA coach |
I doubt that the majority of boys’ scholarships go to international players, though many of them do. And yes, tons of State schools with huge football programs cut men’s soccer and other non-revenue men’s sports due to the combo of title IX and hugely bloated football budgets. This was an unintended and mostly negative consequence of T9 in my opinion. |
You did not "hire" them. Troll or pretty tone deaf. |
Good one, FCV dad. |
You are all idiots. What school you go to means nothing Its the student who decides how well they do post college, Look a Gary V. I guarantee he is more successful than any of the local soccer commitments this year. |
I cannot tell you how stupid and nauseating the citation of university rankings has become - this is a good corrective to complete nonsense to which the poster responded. But it is like looking at state rankings to decide where to live. Those schools are fine; the major, your grades, your test scores, and many other intangibles (your work and life experience) make all the difference when the soccer is over, which will be true for 99.99% of these kids. 10 years from now you better have a really good grad degree if you want a really good job, and your undergrad location (vs performance, major, tests, Recs, intangibles) will mean almost nothing no matter what all the bozo snowplow parents in this area think. 99 percent of them have not performed or hired at elite levels. |
And that’s why you take the scholarship over the photo op. Get undergrad on their dime. Use the savings for grad school. |
Happy for all of those committed to play in college, I wish I understood why so many people care so much about other kids. |
Honestly - no one cares until the bragging and boasting happens. Usually by the non-elected club mouth piece |
It’s tiring, be happy the girls have made it to college, it doesn’t matter what division or conference. It is awesome to see them go to college |
