The whole "call me John" thing started from an interview Brad gave to Oprah back when Shiloh was around 2 or 3. Shiloh must have been a big Peter Pan fan and insisted on being called John after the little boy in the movie. That is all - just a toddler wanting to be like a character in a movie.

Pitt also revealed that whenever they would call his daughter by her name, she would correct them. Shiloh would usually remind her parents that her name is John.

After she ended that Peter Pan phase of her toddler years, I assume she was okay with the name Shiloh. Her parents never referred to her as John. Presumably, she never referred to herself as John. Her parents always referred to her as Shiloh.

The media and public on the other hand...check out some of these headlines. Instead of framing it as a cute, goofy toddler type of things, the media wrote the headlines as if she truly was asking for a real name change.

Even up to a couple years ago, media was still saying Shiloh wants to be called John even though she was well past that cute toddler phase in her life!

Other people jumped in and started referring to her as John as well. They thought they were being so woke and Shiloh was presented in the media as an icon for LGBTQ+. I remember when people would get offended when she was referred to as Shiloh in print.

Long story - just leave the kid alone. She was a tomboy as a youngster (wanting to be like her brothers). Probably is still a tomboy but now is okay with wearing dresses and more feminine tomboy clothes. Kids evolve.

What I have noticed is that the children all have expressions similar to their parents. I see so much of her mom in Zahara. So while they might not be blood, they are most certainly family.
