DD rejected at BC and she’s devastated. It was a good match for her and she goes to a Catholic HS so we thought that would help at least a little.

DD was WL at BC and Wash U but in at Rice. We are shocked. Can anyone tell me more about Rice? The more we read, the more impressed we are!

Can anyone share their stats for BC and what the result was? Thank you.

In at BC, waitlisted at WashU. 1550, 4.0uw, 4.9W, NMF, captain varsity sports etc. Really liked WashU but knew it was a crapshoot and happy with BC acceptance.

It would be very helpful if you all shared stats (I know some posters did). Congrats to those who received good news, and sympathies to those who didn’t and I am sure your kids have other strong options.

I know the process is much harder nowadays, but even 30 years ago I was a Hs senior who was rejected from my top choice college even though I had great stats and had worked so hard- my story is that I showed up at college assuming I’d be smarter than most, and quickly realized the students there were really smart and hard working and I wasn’t going to be cream on the top without hard work, too. I was appropriately challenged and engaged and made great friends and really loved and grew from my college experience! I wish similar for all of your DCs!
