When people post a correcting post right after their original post just to correct an extremely obvious typo, does that annoy you?
For example, the first post: My husband walked all the way to th store, and he forgot my ice cream. Second post: the Does this bother you? ๐ ๐ |

Hm. If it's the poster correcting themselves, it's super unnecessary. We get your gist, babe.
Sometimes I think it's an anal corrector doing it and not the poster? |
โ It bothers me so much. Itโs completely unnecessary. Like, I roll my eyes each time. [OP] |
Also, no, you can tell when itโs a clever troll attempt. (I do this!) Those posts are different from the th to the correctors. ๐๐ [OP] |
| Chill. |
| Why would this bother me? You guys are something else. |
| I thought this was a new word game! Bummer. |
Sorry! |

I only do it if I think the meaning is unclear.
But some posters are such a-holes that they are thrilled to ream people for obvious typos, so I do actually understand the instinct to correct yourself before someone else points out the error. |
When the typo confuses the message meaning, correcting is 100% understandable. When the typo is quite obvious, thereโs no need to correct. Itโs not a thesis. |
