I like potty training young (20 to 22 months) but this seems too young. She just sat down on the little potty last night and peed. I’m not sure how to proceed. We did Oh, Crap with my three year old at 22 months (with rewards) and it went great. He never had a regression.
WWYD? She’s also very petite (2%) and I’m not sure I can find underwear that would fit her. |

Np. No harm in trying now. She's obviously interested which is more than can be said for many 20-22 month olds who are successfully PT at that age. |

Mine did it at 14 months ( older sib was working on it).she was out of diapers completely at 17/18 months. No way she was not getting an mm like her brother.  .

| We started using the potty at set times during the day (after waking, after meals, etc.) around then, then did a modified Oh Crap at 21 months. Worked just fine and I think was helpful to get her comfortable with the act of using the potty before ditching the diaper. |

| My son did this too at 18 months. I had poop trained my daughter at 15 months. Both was at their insistence. Sometimes kids just know what they want. You should go with it and don't look back. |

Sounds like you are trying now. I’d keep with it if you want her out of diapers. |

| Is this a humblebrag? As someone whose two-year-old cheerfully but totally uncomprehendingly is sitting on the potty every 20 minutes at the moment, YES OP I would train her now or at least start working on it with her even if you don’t immediately take the diapers away. |

| I dunno. I bought a potty and my 21 month old immediately sat on it and peed. I was thrilled! I tried to oh crap train him one month later and it was a giant pee soaked disaster that lasted 8 days. I’m not sure it means much but it certainly doesn’t hurt to try? |

For now just follow her mead. I wouldn’t do serious Oh Crap just yet.
And yes, it’s really hard, if not impossible, to find good underwear for small and young toddlers. |
