Luxury FL hotel for April

Anonymous
We typically go to the Breakers in Palm Beach for spring break in April but hotel prices seem to be crazy right now - $1,800 per night, and we need 3-4 rooms. The last time we went it was only $900 per night.

Can anyone suggest luxurious hotels in Florida that are also very kid friendly - good pools, kids activities at the hotel or nearby, several restaurants on site or close by.

We were considering Amelia Island but the Ritz is sold out. Open other ideas, just need something nice that isn’t beyond insanely expensive.

Luxurious hotels that aren’t insanely expensive in peak season? Hmmm. Sorry, I’ve got nothing.

Marriot in Singer Island is usually cheaper than the Breakers and is nice

Yep, it’s nice. But no way would I compare it to the Breakers. Apples and oranges.

Sorry op. I’m only looking at 4 star, and even those are over $1000/night for a suite and $600-$700 for a regular room. All of the good hotels
Pools are sold out. If you don’t need the beach, you can try the ritz/JW at grande lakes in Orlando. They have great pools, but no slides.

This, and the singer island pool is small and very crowded, but it does have a slide. Last I checked, they had a few 2 bedroom suites left. I think they were around $1600/night, and there’s nothing to do around there.

You could check the Omni at Amelia island. It’s way less nice than the ritz and their pool doesn’t look great to me which is why I’ve ruled it out, plus it might not be that warm.

We just went to Hyatt Coconut Point resort. Nothing remotely like the Breakers, but very kid friendly and Naples is a 20 minute drive so plenty of great restaurants. We flew into RSW, rent a car from Hertz as they are headquartered there.

I’ve been looking at this too, but it’s sold out for the main weeks of spring break. If you aren’t going to include a weekend then you might be able to find something, but it’s $1000 for one room (everyone in the same room) and it’s not even on the beach. You have to take a tram across a bay.

You can get a 2 bedroom suite at the Hyatt in Clearwater, but I wouldn’t call it luxury, the pool is small and it’s still $1500 a night all in.

Never been, but heard it was nice. I’d be interested to hear comments first hand.

W Hotel Oasis Suite in South Beach. Huuuuge rooms.

The diplomat has no slides, but is pretty nice, though better when it was a Westin. Their rooms are about $500 a night.
