Reasons: 1. Second OMICRON wave will move quickly when BA.2 gets a foothold. 2. Schools are now major sources of transmission (different from earlier in the pandemic) 3. Most kids younger than 12 have only had two shots, if any 4. Masks optional policies will enable rapid spread, taking out classrooms and schools with wide spread sickness within a few weeks |
| +1 I wholeheartedly agree. Lifting the mask mandate is shortsighted at best, if not outright dangerous. |
| Good thing no one else cares. |
| sorry, but we are moving on. it's time for you to as well. |
I love how anti-maskers don’t have any original thoughts — they repackage tired political agendas and clapbacks from the normal people. Makes me wonder if they were deeply unpopular in their own school days? |
|
It’s simple; we have rules and ways by which decide. Anti-maskers serve no purpose other than to put themselves as selfish, shriveled little societal rejects.
How hard is it to wait a couple of weeks? What a burden it us is to make sure little children and vulnerable amongst us are protected? Here’s the think about selfish? You only end up with exactly how much your little grabby hands can grab. Cause nobody likes you enough to lift you up. And that ain’t much. |
But you are not, are you? You’re moving exactly at the pace the rest of us dictate. At least in the top schools. |
What are you even talking about? The entire country has moved on but for DMV, because of the superiority complex. Get vaccinated and boosted and do same for your kids. Then you can move on too. |
|
You’ll move on when told to do so by us, to protect the others, you selfish little prune.
It will be soon, but not on your schedule. |
No kidding people with some dignity and respect for others are superior to you. |
Worth reminding the trolls. |
While the transmission rates have dropped significantly from the height of the omicron wave, they're still high enough to ensure continued transmission. Attitudes such as this one explain why the rate of spread around the country is still as high as it is. |
Oh, and attitudes such as this one pretty much assure us of another strain that might be even more resistant to the vaccine. But, you know, FREEDUMB! |
| Oh FFS. |
|
Whatever. My high school and middle school kids truly don’t mind wearing masks. They’re both just happy to be playing sports and in school. Both are vaccinated.
I trust our private school to do what’s best. |
