I was just reading about the Kuhn Rikon garlic press. It sounds like it might be worth the cost. What are some kitchen must haves? For me, I have extra sets of measuring spoons bc I could never seem to find the one I wanted or it was in the dishwasher. Now I have multiples and never have that issue. Oh I love my Silpats I always use them for baking cookies and it has the cookies bake more evenly and consistently. Everything else I use is fairly standard. I use my wooden citrus reamer a lot too. |

| I use my immersion blender way more than I would've thought. I use it to make soups, vodka sauce and milkshakes. I also love my Joule sous vide -- makes cooking meat so easy. |
| I like my pineapple corer— not perfect but so much easier to cut a fresh pineapple. |
| My thin metal fish spatula. I use that thing all the time |
| I have 3-4 small rectangular "bar" cutting boards. I use them SO much to cut fruit or something small. I hate lugging hot large cutting boards unless I need to. Throw them in the dishes and they don't take up a lot of space. |

+1 I love it. Some things that I use a lot? Mini silicone spatulas (from WS) and mini whisks. I use the mini spatulas from scooping out mayo and mustard for dressings to draining sauces out of my smaller sauce pans. And I use mini whisks for mixing small amounts of dressing or scrambling an egg in a bowl. And yes, I also use a garlic press a lot as well as my Bamix immersion blender. |

Nutribullet- use it for making smoothies, oat flour, almond flour, grinding spices. You can even grind coffee with it in a pinch.
Joseph Joseph garlic rocker press- so much easier to use than a traditional press IMO The little piggy mini spatulas from Joie, cute, great for getting peanut butter out of jars, also great when you’ve used all your spatulas and need one in a pinch Corelle- fits in my dishwasher, easy to clean, lightweight, stacks neatly, durable. Never thought I’d be a corelle household but I was tired of chipped dishes. Breville Barista express- I use it to make coffee every morning, though I don’t always foam the milk. It’s also fun to make lattes for guests. Cuisinart hot water kettle- you can set the temperature on my model, and I can make tea at the right temp, add water to my espresso for an americano, make pour overs, etc. Lodge cast iron- I use that baby for everything, and it always turns out good. It’s my largest pan, so Very functional, I store it in my oven so it’s always ready. |

+2 for the fish spatula. I received one as a gift, and--although I love fish and bake or grill fillets frequently--didn't think I'd ever use it. But it is SUPER useful for transferring fillets intact from the pan to your plate. I use it for cookies, too.

We use ramekins a lot--small snacks, sauces, syrup, etc. My husband is a condiment fiend so he is always using them for various dipping concoctions.
I rarely use it but DH is constantly using the hand-held juicer for making drinks. It seems like its on the counter all the time. |

I love love love my rollable dish drying rack, which I learned about here on DCUM several years ago!

Vitamix. Use it at least once a day.
Quarter sheet pans. Tons of white tea towels. I use in place of paper towels as much as I can. |
