Statement from Ziegler just confirmed tomorrow masks will be optional!! |
Loudoun really is determined to rejoin the backwater parts of the state. |
The places that kept school in-person last year and therefore saw less learning loss per SOL data? What’s to hate? |
I look forward to a long string of substitutes as more teachers end up out sick with covid. |
Awesome. He's about two weeks ahead of everyone else.
And I'm a boosted democrat. Enough with the masks at school When the numbers start shifting upwards, which we all assume they will, with new variants, THEN start masking again. It's insane that we can go to the Super Bowl and any other super spreader event, but our kids have to wear masks outdoors on the playground. |
The only ones who will get sick are the unvaccinated / unboosted ones who should keep wearing their masks but won’t. I have been a close contact so many times. Never came up positive. Nor did a student of mine who was a close contact at school ever get it from the kid they were exposed by. Most of us at this point are either vaccinated or had CoVID or both. I preferred the original March 1 date to let numbers continue to dip but honestly this won’t be a big deal. Probably 50% of kids will immediately take the mask off, and more and more will as the year goes on. They’re still required on buses due to federal transportation law. |

My little 6 years old is jumping up and down right now in excitement to not have to wear the mask! So happy for her. She just told me that it is hard breathing in the mask. Never told me that before. Today is a win for science! |
She picked up her anti mask drama from Mommy. |
Oh go away and get over it. Dropping masks for children is so obviously the right call, it’s not anyone else’s fault but your own that you can’t understand that. There is nothing anti-mask about wearing a mask for 2 years and then wanting to reasonably stop. |
I wonder if this will stop FCPS from suing the law….Thry have their own parent suit pending. |
I am happy for her too!! She will have so few chances at happiness in her future. It's good today was good. |
I’m a pre-k teacher. My students are unmasked in class for about 2 hours each day. We’ve had 2 cases this year. I’m not worried. |
I’m fine with it. But 99% of the kids in our school wore them well and didn’t mind. And the ones who didn’t are the same ones who can’t seem to follow ANY of the rules. |
